Left Arkansas in 1941 and from there raised in Arvin, CA and attendedKern County Union School Going as far as the 8th Grade.

BURIAL: Funeral Director was Basham Funeral Care and conducted by thefour sons and a daughter-in-law (Herb, Roger, Neal, Kevin, & Dawn Dunn).It was a graveside service only as Herbert did not want a formal funeralservice.

DEATH: Herb had a stroke on Friday, the 28th of December, 2007, was takento the Bakersfield Heart Hospital on the 29th, Transfered to Kern MedicalCenter & had an emergency surgury to remove a blood clot on his brain at12:30am on the 30th. Had a second stroke on the 1st of January that lefthis entire right side paralized. On the 2nd of January he had a secondemergency surgury to remove another bleeder at the base of his skullbetween the brain and skull. He never recovered from these. He was takenhome under Hospice Care (Odyssey)on Sunday, January 6th and wascompletely un-responsive from Jan. 7th on and passed at 12:23pm onJanuary 9th, 2008 with his sons, Herb & Kevin, and daughter-in-law, Dawnat his side.

Graveside services for Herbert Edward Dunn will be held at HillcrestMemorial Park on Saturday afternoon, January 12, 2008 at 2:00 p.m.Herbert was born March 28, 1929 in Glennwood, AR and he passed away athome January 9, 2008 in Bakersfield, CA. He is preceded in death by hisparents, James and Rosie Dunn; brother, Roy Dunn; brother, Leonard Dunnand his daughter, Shelley Renee Dunn. He is survived by his sons, Herb,Roger, Neal and Kevin Dunn; brother, Leslie "Bo" Dunn; fivegrandchildren; two great grandchildren and many other family members.Herbert was loved by all who knew him and he will be greatly missed.
